The DUC307 from Makita is a 30cm (300mm) / 12" 18v LXT chainsaw. The DUC307ZX2 is equipped with lock off button, electric chain brake and mechanical kickback chain brake for increased safety in use, tool-less chain and tension adjustment of the saw chain, large oil tank cap to enable easier filling of chain oil and a chain oil view window.

Some love it and use nothing else – others have tried and returned to other standard techniques. There may be some minor modifications needed to other manufacturers files to fit into EZ File ie. you may have to shorten the file.

The Makita DUC307ZX2 is part of the 18v family of Makita tools compatible with all LXT batteries and chargers. The DUC307ZX2 is aimed at the professional landscaper that requires extra power and is for applications including logging and pruning smaller diameter branches. The DUC307ZX2 has a high torque drive achieved by adding a gear reduction mechanism that slows the chain speed to 7.7m/s, increasing the torque for demanding applications. Other features include automatic chain lubrication, electric brake and tool-less chain tension adjustments and changeover.
